About Me
Hey, my name is Luis Felipe. I am an English Colombian creative who studied Advertising and Brand Design at Ravensbourne University.
Since I was young, I’ve had a passion for different creative areas, which helped me develop a multidisciplinary skill set and an interest in a range of industries. This influences my work, allowing me to bring references and ideas that others might not immediately consider.
During the 2020 to 2021 lockdown, I discovered a love for film photography while looking through my parents’ old photo albums. Inspired by those images and wanting to recreate their timeless quality, I bought a 35 mm camera to document a family trip to Brighton.
With only 36 frames on a roll, film photography forces me to slow down and step back, carefully considering the world around me and how my subjects interact with it, making every shot count. It encourages spontaneity and being present in the moment, rather than relying on quick, disposable digital snapshots.
I have also always been interested in social media. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok move quickly, but the creators I enjoyed most were not following trends or trying to go viral. They were simply sharing their hobbies and passions in their own way. Seeing this gave me the confidence to start posting authentically, focusing on what I genuinely enjoy creating rather than chasing trends.
